How to Find an Escort in NYC:

A comprehensive guide for finding a professional escort in 9 streamlined steps!

Finding a legitimate, professional escort in New York City or beyond requires a bit of research. Many traditional advertising venues are not available to any sort of sex worker. To find an escort or intimate companion available in the US, you'll need to familiarize yourself with our main advertising methods and venues.

Also note - Every escort doesn't utilize every advertising method. Different advertising venues attract different types of clients, and most escorts are selective in who they accept as clientele. Also, each and every advertising venue requires an investment. However, you should be wary of any websites which are listing escorts that cannot be found anywhere else, or directories which scrape copy from actual escort directories (often adding specific services or "too good to be true" pricing).

1. Research Reputable Escort Directories

Begin by searching for reputable escort directories. These websites have a wide range of escorts with detailed profiles, including photos, availability and rates. Some popular directories in NYC include:

2. Verify an Escort's Authenticity

To ensure the escort is genuine, perform a reverse image search on their photos. This will help you determine if the images are stolen from another source.

Most legitimate escort directories have a verification process which involves sending in photos to verify our age along with government ID. Platforms such as Tryst.link are very strict on validating the identity of all advertisers.

So, while we may not provide our real legal name, ID, and face photos to our clients, we do provide these things to advertising platforms as a requirement to register our accounts and pay for our monthly ads.

Here are some other methods to verify that the escort you've found is indeed real:

2A. Does she have a website?

While all escorts may not advertise on all platforms, most professional escorts will have invested in a personal website. The personal website is the best resource for learning exactly what their current rates are, professional boundaries, how to contact/book them, and the necessary screening and deposit procedures. It's also one of the best ways to get to know more about the escort you're interested in, beyond what is included in the ad.

Personal websites can also be a great way to find other escorts your current companion knows. Some of us have "friends" pages or "duo" offerings where we link to each other's sites!

Also, the most relevant links will probably be attached to the website. For example, if an escort appears to have multiple Instagram accounts, the real one is most likely whichever one is linked via the social icons of her website (assuming her website has social icons). If you come across an ad which lists an email address different from the email address on the website, it's probably best to use the email address on the website. And if an escort builds a custom booking form for her website, odds are good that she would prefer you to use the booking form.

Some websites (such as Eros.com) no longer allow us to link our personal websites to our ad. In this case, you can try Googling "Name of Escort" + "City They're Based In" to check if they might have a personal website.

Of course, there are plenty of legit escorts who still don't feel the need to invest in a website. Nothing is 100% absolute, I just find it to be a pretty solid indicator.

2B. Consider Social Media and Content Creators

Some escorts have social media accounts such as Twitter, Instagram, or Reddit. On Twitter, hashtags are used to navigate city-specific advertising (ex: "#DateNYC").

Beware of Instagram or Twitter accounts where the link in bio connects to a dating platform or webcamming site, these tend to be spam.

Some escorts also sell erotic content, such as Fansly, OnlyFans, Clips4Sale, SextPanter, etc...which can be another indicator of legitimacy. Not all sex workers who produce adult content are escorts. Look for bios with terminology suggesting dates are available such as "Girlfriend for Hire", "Companion", "Courtesan" and usernames or email handles with the word "meet" or "date" included. Escort social media bios may also have links to their dedicated website. Overall, the content of the social media profile itself will be the most obvious indicator that someone you're considering is actually a full-service companion offering in-person dates, vs a virtual or "online-only" sex worker selling content.

A legitimate escort with social media will have social media that sounds real. They may interact with other accounts, have a mix of professional and candid photos, the photos they post will match the captions (ie, a photo that says "London was amazing!" probably shouldn't be a picture of a sunny beach). Finally, escorts typically won't have photos with multiple people in them unless those other individuals are also escorts (in which case they'll be tagged, and then this becomes a very good indicator that someone is a real escort if they've met other real escorts!).

2C. Reviews?

Some companions allow reviews.

Some may allow reviews for the entire duration of their career, while others may only allow enough to become established and gain access to private advertising platforms such as P411.

An up-and-coming review website preferred by some escorts is "Private Delights". It is very expensive to advertise on, but it does offer us more discreet reviews while being hosted offshore. This has contributed to PD's air of modern legitimacy when compared to other outdated review platforms.

2D. Does she care about her safety?

Think about how the internet works in general.

It can be an insane place full of bizarre people.

A real escort needs to meet legitimate clients while filtering out all sorts of dangerous types. So be wary of any escort who doesn't screen, doesn't care to know your real name, or immediately provides her exact address to you to "come meet for a sexy time, right now!". Openly offering unprotected sex or "do anything you want with me" is also highly suspicious.

Essentially, a real, actual woman would have reasonable barriers between herself and anyone with an internet connection who happens to find her ad.

Most of the fake ads you'll come across are not made by other independent escorts. They're often scammy websites trying to drive traffic to pay-to-use platforms, scammy agencies, law enforcement, common pranksters, or even men who fetishize the idea of impersonating a female escort.

3. Understand Legalities

Familiarize yourself with the laws and regulations surrounding escort services in your area. In the USA, escort services are legal, but exchanging money for sex is not. It's essential to understand the distinction between escort services and prostitution. For this reason, most escorts will not discuss specific services with a new clients either during the booking process or the initial date. Those who do may only be willing to have such a discussion after fully screening you.

Either way, I can promise you'll have a much better time letting things develop naturally during the date than trying to accomplish a checklist of sexual activities within a fixed timeframe.

If going in without a specific agenda makes you anxious that you might end up leaving disappointed, let your companion know that you'd like her to take the lead and to please "set the pace" for your date.

4. Establish a Budget

Determine your budget before contacting an escort. Keep in mind that rates may vary depending on factors such as location, duration, and services provided.

Escort rates vary widely across the US and even within NYC.

Rates and multi-hour or multi-day rate structures are a very personal decision for each escort. Some escorts also list additional surcharges for convivence fees such as "last minute" bookings, or offer multiple tiers of service.

If you're trying to determine how much you should budget for your first date, it's often best to book a slightly longer appointment than you think you'll need (ie, opting for 2hrs instead of 1hr) in case you might be nervous or need a little more time to get comfortable. The extra time can also relax the mental load of being on a time constraint, and ensure you have a gentle come-down as opposed to an "abrupt" ending.

5. Initiate Contact

Once you've found a suitable escort, carefully read their advertisement or website for their preferred method of contact. This may include email, phone, or a contact/booking form. Be respectful and concise in your communication, providing relevant information such as:

  • Your name
  • Desired appointment date and time
  • Duration of the appointment
  • Any screening information required in your initial contact
  • Any special requests or preferences

Avoid using explicit language or discussing illegal activities.

6. Screening Process

Many escorts require a screening process to ensure their safety. This may involve providing personal information such as your full name, phone number, and employment details. Be prepared to comply with these requests.

7. Payment

Discuss payment methods and rates before meeting. It is customary to provide payment in an unsealed envelope at the beginning of the appointment. Do not haggle or attempt to negotiate rates.

8. Etiquette

Treat your escort with respect and courtesy. Arrive on time, be well-groomed, and maintain good hygiene. Communicate any boundaries or preferences clearly and respectfully.

Gifts and tips are never expected, but if you do wish to bring something it's best to check your companion's wishlist (if she has one) or simply ask! I always appreciate when clients bring a bottle of wine or fresh flowers, for example, but some escorts do not consume alcohol or have allergies so it's always safest to ask.

8a: Make sure to clear your schedule!

We can only accommodate one client at a time, and many clients desire the same or overlapping popular appointment times. It's always best to ensure that you're also available for the booking time you've requested and if you have to delay or reschedule for any reason, please let your companion know as soon as possible.

Keep in mind that if you do need to reschedule or cancel with insufficient notice, you may be charged a fee. If you fail to arrive for your appointment without any notice or explanation, you risk being blacklisted. Should you realize you no longer wish to meet an escort, it's best to get in contact as soon as possible.

9. Post-Appointment

After your appointment, consider writing a review to help future clients in their decision-making process if your companion allows reviews.

If you both use P411, you can request an "Okay" from her profile.
